My Story

I was lucky - I got to study the Greeks and Romans at secondary school, and I was able to carry that on to university, and they've been my passion ever since. But many young students today don't have the opportunity of studying, ancient history, classical civilization, Latin or Greek, especially in state schools. 

Classics for all aims to rectify that, by supporting teaching of these subjects in state schools, with materials, and encouragement, and help for teachers and students. 

This September, they are running a sponsored virtual walk of Hadrian's Wall. I'll be joining in, aiming to walk the equivalent of the Wall's 84 miles over the next thirty days. Some of this will actually be walked along the actual Wall, which I'll be visiting in a few weeks.
